Last night was really good for Mommy and Daddy. I slept from 8pm to about 12:30 AM , when Mommy came in and “soothed” me back to sleep. That lasted about 30 minutes though, as by 1 AM I was ready to eat. After eating, I then slept until around 7am. That’s almost 6 hours straight!
Mommy and Daddy are still waiting on me to sleep through the night, and I’m working on it best I can. I’ve just got to get used to not eating at night. I think I get the fondness of eating from Daddy, but don’t tell him I said so.
Catch y’all later,
Grayson
I must be going through a growth spurt, or something. Lately I’ve been downing up to 7 ounces in one sitting, or needing at least 4 ounces about every two hours.
Grammie and Poppy are here to see me this weekend, so I know I’m in for lots of additional attention and pictures.
. I’m sure Dad will post some new photos after the weekend is over. I know he’s a little behind on getting new pictures up (something about a lack of sleep
). Grammie and Poppy brought me some sort of ‘jungle gym’ and my Great Godmother sent me a mobile for my crib. Can’t wait until I’m coordinated enough to play with the gym thingy.

Yesterday was a big day for me. We started out by going to church. Aunt KK held and fed me during church and I did my best not to make too much noise. Thanks to Mom and Dad for not sitting directly under the speaker this time. Paster Mark tends to get a little loud when he gets fired up, and sometimes he startles me. After church, we came home and Mommy and I both took naps. Daddy was downstairs on the computer or PS3 or something.
Last night we visited Aunt KK, Uncle Steve and the girls. My cousins Marissa and McKensie both fed me. Uncle Steve grilled some really good chicken, and also made a chocolate cake. The chicken was good (even second hand
) but Mommy didn’t have any chocolate cake, so we can only assume by Daddy’s big helping that it was good.
And that was enough to wear me out. I fell asleep on the way home, and Mommy and Daddy were quiet and smooth enough to get me all the way into bed without waking me up.
Love,
Grayson
Mommy and Daddy finally got to go out for their Valentines dinner last Saturday. I didn’t get to eat anything, of course, but I think they enjoyed themselves. I slept through a 40 minute wait for the table, and then another 40 minutes through dinner. Lots of people said I was “cute”
It’s good to see that Mommy and Daddy are “starting to get out more”. I think we’re even going to church this weekend. Can’t wait to meet all those people!

Hi folks,
It’s not exactly a lemon-aid stand, but if you visit my ‘College Funds’ page, and shop through any of the links on that page, you’ll be contributing to my college savings. You get the same great products and services you’re familiar with, and I’ll get a small “cut” for sending the traffic from my web site to the shopping sites.
Thanks,
Grayson
Last night my mommy and daddy thought I had a hollow leg. I ate and ate and ate until my tummy was hard as a rock. I started eating at 6:30pm and was done about 10pm. I did give mommy some breaks in between, but they couldn’t believe how much I was eating and not getting full. I call it “packing it in” before night night time.
Talk to you all soon.
After 3 successful nights, Grayson has now permanently moved to his room for sleeping at night. We use a baby monitor to “keep tabs” on him, but now he doesn’t have to be bothered by my (or Cher’s snoring
). We also get better sleep, because we’re not jumping at every little sound he makes. The monitor lets us know when he’s starting to cry, but we don’t hear every little gurgle or grunt.
Grayson is a wonderful baby! He hardly cries at all, and usually just when he’s hungry (can’t say that I blame him). His feeding periods are still ranging between 2-3 hours and he definitely inherited his Dad’s appetite. He’s active several times a day and loves to look around with his big blue eyes. Aside from more hair, his appearance really hasn’t changed much.
More to come….

We visited the Pediatrician today for my 2 week checkup. I have gained 7 ounces since our last visit, bringing me up to 8 lbs, 1 oz, 7 ounces more than my birth weight. The Dr. says I’m doing great, and developing right on schedule. I’m still measuring 20.5 inches, but we’re thinking that the hospital number measured “long” and that I’ve actually grown some.
I also got my Hep B shot today. It hurt, and I cried for a moment, but then I was ok. Daddy says I am a real trooper! Mom and Dad will keep an eye out for soreness or an elevated temperature for the next few days, but I don’t expect any problems.
Grayson
Thanks to all the friends and family that have supported us during this journey!! The prayers, the meals, the love, the advice, and the support have been and continue to be greatly appreciated.
Cher and I are learning new things daily, if not hourly and just trying to make it day by day (and night by night). We’re still adjusting to working on 6 hours of thrice interrupted sleep per night, and taking naps when we can. We’ve also realized that our previous concerns about Grayson never being able to wear all of the ‘newborn’ outfits that he has were very naive. With his food intake increasing, the output has also increased and the diapers don’t always keep it all in, especially the liquid portion.
For all those interested, we’ll try to document our experiences, learnings, and of course, Grayson’s progress here in his blog of a regular basis.
